Founded in 1997, Five Rivers Adventures is owned by Craig Sorrell. Being the only locally born and raised Rafting Company Owner provides Craig with a vast knowledge and love of the river and it's surrounding area, which he shares with his guests. Being local allows for Five Rivers to be truly 'Family Run Company'. More than likely you are going to meet or talk to some of his family while at Five Rivers and that is how you are treated; like family! That is one of many advantages of being a small company; we don't forget the little things that mean so much to our guests. Craig is also a full-time local Fireman, which helps explain his overwhelming concerns for customer safety.
Craig started his whitewater career as a raft guide with one of the largest whitewater rafting companies in the southeast, where he worked for 10 years. Through hard work and dedication he was promoted through the ranks until he became manager of this industry leader. Although thankful for the knowledge and experience gained there, he smbraced the opportunity to become an owner of a smaller company. The small company atmosphere enabled him to give a more personalized rafting experience, insure that the customer came first, and make sure his guests get what they pay for.
